If you qualify, you may receive several kinds of accident benefits irrespective of who was at fault for your accident. The rules are complicated, but the following list will give you an idea about what may be available:

•    Income replacement benefits help replace lost income if an employed or self-employed claimant is disabled.

In Ontario damages are recoverable for loss of income , housekeeping and home maintenance expenses and medical and rehabilitation expenses if the injured party was not entirely responsible for the accident.

In Ontario damages are also available for pain and suffering to parties who have suffered permanent and serious impairment as a result of the accident and are payable to the extent that the injured party is not at fault for the accident. Damages are also recoverable by to the extent the motor vehicle accident victim has suffered loss of income, loss of competitive advantage in either the employment market or with respect to education, inability or impairment of the ability to perform household and handyperson chores,medical , rehabilitation and attendant care expenses, child care expenses and inability to marry or breakdown of a marriage
