How We Work

We recognize the immense economic burden serious injuries can create  for individuals and their families. If we accept your case, you pay us  only if we obtain  financial compensation for you. You pay no upfront costs, and we do not require a financial retainer to represent you.

In the event of a successful outcome, our fee is a percentage of the amount recovered by  you. This percentage depends on factors such as the complexity of your situation and the amount of risk the firm assumes. It will be determined at the time we accept your case to avoid surprises at the conclusion.

While representing you in your claim, we advance  all expenses required  for:

• Medical assessments, medical  reports and records;
• Retaining  expert witnesses such as various health discipline experts, accountants, forensic engineers, actuaries
• conducting necessary liability investigations including the hiring  of private investigators where needed
• court  filing fees and expenses incurred in serving legal documents and out of court examinations and mediations
• all other incidental and ancillary expenses required to advance your claim to a successful outcome

The retaining of  experts will commonly cost thousands of dollars and most of our clients cannot afford to pay these up front costs. At Edsonlegal we pay the up front costs needed to prove your claim and these costs are paid back from the proceeds of recovery. If you do not recover money we do not get paid. We therefore assume the risks involved in building your case.  You should understand that if your claim is not properly developed you will probably undersettle. Many lawyers are afraid or unwilling to assume the financial risk associated with properly developing a personal injury claim. Edsonlegal is not one of those firms.
